Where helpers fit
The Water shop offers Helper snail at a serialized initial price of 1,000 juice in v0.5.4. Later purchases can have different prices, so check your current shop value before budgeting. Helpers collect fruit for you; a newly hired snail does not replace growing plants and a working water supply.
Improve a working collection route
The original client includes Helper speed and Helper storage upgrades. Match them to the problem you see: travel and carrying capacity are different constraints. Compare collected juice over equal time periods before and after a purchase, keeping the planted area similar. The v0.5.0 update improved helper AI; older accounts of very inactive helpers may describe earlier behavior.
Snails, not helper worms
An older comment thread asks whether buying more Worm Eggs should create worms. A developer answered that the helpers were snails, not worms. The item was subsequently renamed Insight in v0.5.0. Treat Insight as the demo’s story-ending purchase, not as a way to recruit a second helper species.
